How Do I Get Started?
- Email us or call 864.284.1024 during office hours to get scheduled. Or, fill out our Client Application, and we'll get right back to you.
- To ensure that we help you make the right training choice, we may recommend a free orientation for you and your dog.

Obedience Group Classes
Puppy Play & Learn
Attend two sessions each week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, or as many as you can! Includes AKC STAR Puppy evaluation.
For: Puppies 8 weeks - 16 weeks (with your veterinarian's approval)
Prerequisites: First set of vaccinations 7+ days before class
When: Tuesdays, 6:15pm - 7:00pm / Saturdays, 10:00am - 10:45am (Call to schedule at least 24 hours ahead)
Cost: $100 (4 weeks)
We Cover:
Puppy essentials - House-training. Crate and alone training. Bite inhibition and handling. Chew training. Puppy push-ups. Voluntary Check-in'sGood manners - Recall foundation, relaxation, name recognition, handling and preparation for vet and grooming visits. Conditioning your puppy to accept and follow cues, foundation positions.
Socialization - Early, positive introductions to new people, other puppies, noises, scents, etc. so your puppy grows up with confidence!
Super puppy parent - Puppy-proof your home. What to expect during your puppy's developmental stages.

Rover One
Open Enrollment to fit your busy schedule. Start anytime, with two sessions to choose from. Tuesday evenings at 7:15pm OR Saturday mornings, 9am. You and your dog work at your own pace with our experienced trainers.
For: All dogs 16 weeks and older
Prerequisites: Current vaccination certificate (orientations are required to ensure this program is right for your dog)
When: Tuesdays, 7:15pm - 8:15pm –OR– Saturdays, 9:00am - 10:00am
Cost: $200 (8 weeks) - You may take up to 10 weeks to complete the course. Additional extension occurs when no class is held during holidays.
We Cover:
The Basics – Attention, sit, down, stand, release, targeting, recall, go to and relaxation on mat, handling, foundations for polite walking and greeting, handler movement and body language and more.Learn through fun – We use games and activities from agility, nose work, and obedience to teach your dog behaviors that will make him a pleasure to live with.

Rover Two
Open Enrollment when your dog is ready! Canine Good Citizen Test included.
For: Dogs 16 weeks and older
Prerequisites: Rover One or equivalent, current vaccination certificate
When: Saturdays, 10:15am – 11:15am
Cost: $200 (8 weeks) - You may take up to 10 weeks to complete the course. Additional extension occurs when no class is held during holidays.
We Cover:
The Basics Continued, Learning Verbal-only Cues with Distractions, Duration and Distance – Attention, sit, down, stand, stay, targeting, recall, loose leash walking, polite greetings, mat work and more.Canine Good Citizen prep – Planning to take AKC’s Canine Good Citizen test? We take you through the required behaviors, from walking through a crowd to supervised separation, and will administer the test when you and your dog are ready!

Rover Achievers
Open Enrollment with Your Instructor's Approval
For: Dogs 16 weeks and older, with Instructor approval
Prerequisites: Successful completion of Tail Lights Dogs' Rover Two or equivalent, current vaccination certificate

Cost: $200 (8 weeks) - You may take up to 10 weeks to complete the course. Additional extension occurs when no class is held during holidays.
We Cover:
Advanced manners, and first-rate life skills for all dogs.Practice makes perfect - Want to move to the Head of the Class? We help you get there.
Learn through fun - We use games and activities from canine freestyle, agility, nose work, and obedience to teach your dog advanced behaviors. Come play your way to excellence.

Nose Work® Classes
Introduction to K9 Nose Work®
For: Any dog with a nose who is able, willing, and motivated to take high value food or play with a highly valued toy.
Prerequisites: Current vaccination certificate
Duration: 6 weeks, classes are 1.5 hours each
Start Dates:
Saturday, June 2, 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Thursday, July 12, 7:00pm - 8:30pm
Cost: $165
We Cover:
Getting hooked - Searching for a favorite toy or treat gets your dog into the game—it’s fast and easy and any dog with a nose can do it.Scent work - Soon your dog will move on to the scents of K9 Nose Work®: Birch, anise, and clove. You’ll learn to read his signals and he’ll get better and better at locating those scents.
Perfect for dogs with high energy and drive or mild environmental issues - Because during K9 Nose Work classes at Tail Lights, dogs will be motivated to "work" using their highly developed olfactory system.
Anytime fun - If you want a challenge, K9 Nose Work® competitions are sprouting up all over the place, but this is a sport just as easily played in the back yard as in the ring.

K9 Nose Work®: Introduction to Odor
For: Any dog with a nose
Prerequisites: Instructor Approval, Minimum of 1 session of Introduction to K9 Nose Work® at Tail Lights Dogs or under other CNWI, current vaccination certificate
Duration: 6 weeks - Each class is 1.5 hours
Start Dates:
Saturday, July 21, 1:30pm - 3:00pm
Cost: $175
We Cover:
Getting hooked, the sequel - When searching for a favorite toy or treat becomes its own reward, it’s time to progress to Odor Obedience.Scent work - Your dog will move on to the first scent of K9 Nose Work®: birch. You’ll continue to read his signals and he’ll continue to get better and better at locating the source of the odor.
Anytime fun - If you want a challenge, K9 Nose Work® competitions are the place to be. We help you and your dog succeed at Odor Recognition Tests, and earn titles through Trials sanctioned by the National Association of Canine Scent Work®.
Your dog will love this class and so will you.

K9 Nose Work®: Continuing Nose Work
For: Any dog with a nose
Prerequisites: Instructor Approval, Minimum of 1 session of Introduction to K9 Nose Work®, and 1 session of Introduction to Odor at Tail Lights Dogs or under other CNWI, plus current vaccination certificate.
Duration: Initial Course is 6 weeks - Each class is 1.5 hours

Monday, May 14, 7:00pm - 8:30pm Six Week Course - NO CLASS May 28
Monday, July 16, 7:00pm - 8:30pm Six Week Course

$175 for Six Week Course
We Cover:
